From jewelry to paint and toy trains: Mall with over 60 vendors opens in Boise

For more than 10 years, Boise’s Best Marketplace called the strip mall off Overland and Five Mile home.

In March, new owners took over, giving the business a new name and revamping the space.

208 Emporium features over 60 vendors — selling everything from home goods to jewelry, and so much more.

“The kind of stuff in here varies quite a bit. People sell jewelry, paint, trains, computers, all sorts of vintage knickknacks and glassware. It’s a lot of different stuff,” co-owner Boden Johnson said.

Johnson said he and his business partner, Elaine Cristella, have received a positive response from both longtime and new customers.

“People have really liked the store so far. We have a lot of repeat customers from when it was Boise’s Best Marketplace. We closed down for a week in March and completely revamped the store’s layout,” Johnson said. “The repeat customers have really liked it and have been really impressed with what we’ve done. We’ve also had a ton of new customers come in.”

Johnson said they have a couple of spaces available for more vendors.

208 Emporium is open Monday – Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
